Hotel Maintenance Technician – Part-Time
Schedule – flexible shifts and able to work weekends and holidays
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of a 25-room boutique hotel. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, building systems, and hotel grounds are maintained in excellent condition to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and hotel facilities.
• Complete repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Troubleshoot equipment and building system issues.
• Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for guest rooms and hotel equipment.
• Inspect and service HVAC systems, water heaters, lighting, appliances, and other mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with local building, fire, health, and safety regulations.
• Maintain exterior appearance of the property, including parking areas, walkways, landscaping, and outdoor lighting.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
• Monitor maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, residential, or commercial facilities.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Basic computer skills for work order tracking and communication.
